Welcome to the forum page - not your traditional forum though - this is here for you to submit listings for parties, barbecues and trips out if you want other bears to join you.

We're not just here to stand and chat having a beer - we want to build BearWest into a full on social group. We started in February 2008 and have had tremendous support from Shaun at the Old Castle Green when we have held our regular meetings there - he's organised platters of sandwiches and laid on free bbq's too.

We have had one meeting in support of the Sunday afternoon BBQ again at the OCG for the Bristol Bear Fiesta and it turned out to be one of the busiest events of the weekend and on 13th July a group of us went to see "Mamma Mia!" at the Showcase Cinema in Bristol!

A very quick review!
Mamma Mia is pure unadulterated high camp fun, carried of course by the music which is still fantastic after thirty or so years. There are some over the top (in a good way) performances from Meryl Streep, Christine Baranski and Julie Walters (Dancing Queen is hysterical) - perfect Summer feel good stuff - a few very nice young men getting wet and dancing shirtless - oh and Colin Firth getting wet at the end too! Great fun right the way through. If you do go to see it - stay right through the first batch of end titles!
